Multimedia Teaching and Training
With the Internet emerging as the primary channel for the new millennium, our lab developed an AV multimedia and text transmission interface and built a professional-grade multimedia e-learning website to free learning from the confines of the classroom.
Research items include:

e-Learning-
For this project we built an e-learning platform to contain the contents based on advisor’s five university courses, providing learners or students with the latest news, course outlines, weekly schedules, multimedia instruction, homework upload, file download, FAQ, grade results, attendance records, discussion boards, chat rooms, and learning and self-assessment statistics. The website won the Ministry of Education Teaching Award, and content is being continually refreshed during the course of instruction.
The website can be accessed at Courses. -

Our research used eight test items from the Movement Assessment Battery for Children (Movement ABC) to create a virtual reality assessment for developmental coordination disorder children. Interactive spatial tracking devices and software were used to test responses of eight basic movements. Subjects’ reactions at completion were also recorded to quantify results and determine a differential point between non-disordered and disordered children. The resulting game could be replayed to train reactions of developmental coordination disorder children and improve their coordination.
