Researches

The Virtual Reality and Multimedia Research Group has two main areas of research:

  1. Basic Virtual Reality Research-

    • Real-time motion collision detection, no-distortion mapping, mesh modeling simplification techniques, force feedback generation models.
  2. Virtual Reality Applications-

    • Including R&D for medical imaging-guided surgery system hardware and software, development of Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing application software, design and manufacture of force feedback peripheral devices, multimedia-assisted teaching and training.

Interim Basic and Applied Research results:

  1. Computer-assisted surgical planning for oral and maxillofacial regions
  2. Virtual reality research
  3. Multimedia assisted teaching and training
  4. Computer-aided medical research
  5. Body structure and anthropometry
  6. Development of CAD and CAM applications
